NEYMAR’S TEAM DEFEATS ROBINHO’S IN FRIENDLY

Barcelona forward Neymar led a team tat defeated Robinho’s team in a Chapecoense charity match 13-9 on Thursday.

The Brazilian skipper was brilliant, netting four goals in the charity match.

AC Milan legend Kaka was present, including Manchester City latest addition Gabriel Jesus and Luan. Other top celebrities in Brazil, TV and Music, were present in the affair that sought to generate funds for the team that lost most of its crew and players through an ill-fated plan crash last month.

Neymar was spectacular as he showed his might, despite being on winter break. He scored the first using his pace to his advantage. The 24-year old star added another, flicking the ball over the defenders head to the delight of the onlooking fans. He moved past a defender before lifting the ball over the keeper to score. He scored his third to complete his hat trick but a free kick he played made it four.

The charity game was played in Sao Paulo, with many stars in attendance in the game that eventually produced 22 goals whilst being entertaining. One of the defender of Robinho’s team even knelt down to beg Neymar to stop his onslaught. Neymar showed down as fans laughed but moved to display his trademark footwork, leaving the defender in a mess.

Neymar definitely showed his potential to win a Ballon d’Or in the nearest future after teammate Lionel Messi lost out to Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo picked his fourth but as he gradually peaks, Neymar and the other stars are players that would dominate the game in a few years.
