After failing in Europe, Robinho is standing out in Brazil

Robinho’s story as a football player is one that many consider to be one that disappointed as the Brazilian attacker was once hailed as the next Pele but despite performing in some of the best clubs in the world alongside world class players, it still wasn’t enough for Robinho to make consistent performances in Europe as he failed with: Real Madrid, Manchester City and Ac.Milan.

The initial years of Robinho’s career started off in a brilliant way and it seemed like he was destined for greatness as the Brazilian player wore the number 10 jersey, the same one as Pele and at the age of 20, he had already guided Santos to 2 CampeonatoBrasileiroSerie A titles.

Things started to fall apart forRobinho ever since he opted to make a switch to the European League. The Brazilian player started setting his sights to bigger clubs and he eventually went on to join Real Madrid, which was his first top European club that Robinho joined and it wasn’t a complete disaster for him in Real Madrid as he did manage to make a few memorable performances but his problem was his consistency as there were some matches where he stood out but in other instances he was invisible.

When Madrid signed C.Ronaldo in 2009, that marked the end of Robinho in the Spanish club and he later went on to join Manchester City and Ac.Milan but never really managed to find his place.

PAULO DYBALA MEANS CESC FABREGAS CAN LEAVE

Chelsea FC are reported to be close to signing Juventus play maker Paulo Dybala as incoming manager Anthonio Conte wants to rebuild a team that can contest for titles.

The current manager of the Italian national team is a huge admirer of the Argentine. Dybala is a play maker and a goal scorer who has been key to the success of the Italian giant in recent seasons.

Cesc Fabregas has hinted that he could leave Stamford Bridge in the coming season, especially as he was not comfortable with the way former manager Jose Mourinho left. With the possibility of signing an attractive talent like Dybala, Fabregas might just be on his way out of the club this summer. The player, who Barcelona has let go twice now, has seen his performance drop overtime. With Chelsea signing Belgian player Michy Batshuayi, who has been touted to go the way of Didier Drogba, many more are set to join the club.     Continue reading “PAULO DYBALA MEANS CESC FABREGAS CAN LEAVE”

Vladimir Petkovic overlooking Bench Warmers

The Swiss manager Vladimir Petkovic has been overlooking those players who are the bench warmers at the clubs they are at and he is very clear he will continue with that policy even if it means he has to drop the skipper or whoever.

Petkovic recently did not select Gokhan Inler for the friendly matches that Switzerland played around Easter in spite of him being the official skipper of the national team.

According to Petkovic, dropping the captain who has got 89 caps is obviously hard, but, it’s about a player who has not been playing enough no. of games and if there is a policy regarding the team selection, it needs to be implemented on everyone in equal capacity.

Petkovic, however, has refused to close the door on the 31-year old centre half for the Euros and has said he will be welcomed back into the team if earns his place in Leicester’s XI again.

The fact is that a fair bit of the season has passed by and there is just 8 weeks of Football left in the Premiership now and as far as Leicester is concerned, they are totally settled, comfortably placed at no. 1 in the standings. Continue reading “Vladimir Petkovic overlooking Bench Warmers”

Leicester City have been enjoying an unbelievable season

Leicester City have been enjoying an unbelievable season and they could end up with a Premier league title at the end of it.

This would have been almost unthinkable exactly a year ago when the club was fighting against the prospect of relegation. Even at the start of the 2015-16 season, they were rated as the favourites to go down. However, Claudio Ranieri has sparked a remarkable improvement in the team and has managed to keep their end of season form going. Just when it seemed that Leicester’s remarkable run would continue, they are just eight games away from a league title.

Much of the campaign has been built on the goals from Jamie Vardy, who was playing nonleague football not too long ago. The Englishman has scored 19 league goals and is alongside Harry Kane as the frontrunner for the Golden Boot award. However, a title success is not built on the back of just one player being good and this has been proved in the case of Leicester City. Players like Riyad Mahrez and Kasper Schmeichel have had a huge say in the results so far, but defender Robert Huth says that Wes Morgan has been the club’s most important player by far.
