Robinho Future Still In Debate

The future of Brazilian striker Robinho continues to be a matter of debate after it is widely expected that he will leave AC Milan in the summer. However, there has been no announcement regarding his next destination, which has led to speculation that he may stay at the San Siro once again. Robinho was once regarded as the successor to Pele as the best Brazilian. However, his career has struggled to take off in the manner everyone expected. After several years at Real Madrid and Manchester city, he is at the stage in his career when talk about returning to Brazil comes up often.

Robinho has been linked with the likes of Santos and Botafogo in recent months. He came close to leaving the club in the January transfer window. After having joined Milan for around £ 15 million from Manchester City, Robinho went through his first spell at the club last season. The 30-year-old managed to score just five goals in 32 appearances last season. He has been playing at Milan since the 2010-11 season, although he did spend a brief time on loan at Santos in 2010. Now, it looks as if he will return to Brazil permanently. Milan are expected to sell most of their forwards like Balotelli and Kaka.

“I do not know yet if he will remain next season. Santos and Botafogo? No, there is nothing going on with them. If I have spoken with Milan? Yes, I constantly speak with the club; as does my client, to make sure all the day-to-day requirements are met,” said the agent of the striker. It is expected that he will return to Brazil, but in order to do so, he will have to drop his wage demands. Despite the booming Brazilian league, his wage demands cannot be supported by the Brazilian clubs right now.
