ROBINHO STRUGGLES FOR FORM

Ever since the Brazilian forward of Ac.Milan, Robinho made his way out of Santos and initiated his football career journey in Europe, it has not been an impressive campaign for the star that Pele once considered him to be his successor.

During his time with Real Madrid he made a series of performances that led him to be nominated in the top 10 candidates for the Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year nominations which was a sign of just how important he was for the Spanish club but his stay with Real Madrid was hampered with a series of injuries and he did not make a single appearance for the Spanish club in the last season that Robinho still was a Real Madrid player.

In 2008, Real Madrid tried using Robinho as bait in order to lure in C.Ronaldo from Manchester United but the transfer was never made and the Brazilian player was signed by Manchester City as they were willing to offload €42 million to secure his services but that was the moment when his career hit a new low as he only remained with Manchester City for 2 seasons despite having been bought at such a high price.

Things aren’t changing for Robinho even after making a move to the Italian side, Ac.Milan. The 30 years old Brazilian player is not even being taking into consideration for Brazil as he was not featured in Brazil’s latest friendly match against South Africa and they still managed on claiming a resounding 5-0 victory with Neymar being the star of the show.

Injuries still keep on causing problems for Robinho and even though he continues underperforming in Ac.Milan, Seedorf still uses the Brazilian as a consistent player but it is becoming very evident that his football career in Europe is reaching its end and he was nowhere even close to the player that the media and Pele expected him to be.
